Indian Foreign Service (IFS) Officer


The Indian Foreign Service (IFS) Officer is employed by the Government of India, to deal with country's external affairs, diplomacy, trade, and cultural relations. The IFS Officer is involved in framing and implementation of government's foreign policy. An IFS Officer can be deputed to institutions like United Nations, SAARC, UNESCO, Indian Embassies, Indian Consulates and Passport Offices.
