Indian Information Services (IIS) Officer


The Indian Information Services (IIS) Officer works under the Ministry of Defence (Directorate of Public Relations). The role of an IIS Officer is to manage government's print, electronic, and advertising media. The IIS Officer has to ensure that only correct information reaches the media. Other tasks include organizing press conferences, controlling official media, and organizing national and international festivals. The IIS officer should possess strong knowledge of journalism, administration and public relations.
